How fees are calculated
In general, separate fees are required for each work that you want to register (song and/or track).
In some cases, we can reduce your fees by submitting multiple works together on the same filing.
We calculate the number of filings required based on your project details and reduce your fees when possible.
Our proprietary filing fee algorithm is unlike anything else on the market. We guarantee you will file accurately AND pay the lowest possible price, saving you money over our competitors.

Our Fee
Our fee is
$99
per filing.
Federal Filing Fee
In addition to our fee, each copyright filing requires a Federal Filing Fee of
$65
for Standard filings (one song max) or
$85
for Group filings (multiple songs allowed).
Note that not all songs can be grouped into Group filings. They must meet specific USCO criteria.
All Federal Filing Fee money goes to the U.S. Copyright Office. For this reason,
membership discounts and credits do not apply to Federal Filing Fees.
Compositions and Sound Recordings
Not all customers want to copyright their compositions and/or sound recordings, for various reasons such as budget and timing.
For flexibility, we give you the option to copyright your compositions and sound recordings separately.
At checkout, you'll find any sound recordings you've added listed under the parent composition.
